‘Pathway III’ by Claire Leach is a giclée print - the small size measures 22.9cm x 16.8cm and is in an edition of 50 prints. The large size measures 25.5cm x 19.4cm and is in an edition of 5 (five) prints. The prints have been made on delicate Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. The print has been signed, dated, numbered and titled on the reverse in pencil.

The original drawing was made whilst studying for my MA in Fine Art at Winchester School of Art. It was inspired by a crossroads pathway on the Sculpture Trail in The Royal Forest of Dean. It was one of the first drawings where I started working in a particular way of drawing tiny marks, circles and lines to build an image, this technique can be seen in my more recent Woodland Studies series. The pathway itself has been left clear of marks to create a negative space which makes the drawing more contemporary.

Upon close inspection you will see that a variety of marks make up the drawing, from tiny circles and leaf shapes to squiggles and lines.
